Audio Notetaker

INTRODUCING THE HUB

System Requirements

Sonocent Audio Notetaker Windows

  • Audio Notetaker doesn’t require much RAM; if you can run Windows (or Mac OS) then Audio Notetaker should work. If you are going to be adding lots of images or slides, whether importing or using our Screen Capture tool then you may find you need more RAM! Audio Notetaker is now a 64bit application, so can utilise all available memory on 64bit systems. If you're still using a 32bit system then Audio Notetaker can only use a maximum of 2GB of RAM regardless of how much you have installed.
  • Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11 (32bit and 64bit) (Download old versions of Audio Notetaker here: Windows or Mac or contact support@sonocent.com for the last version that supported your OS).
  • The Audio Notetaker installation is relatively small at around 150mb. By default audio is recorded at 14.4mb per hour (60+ hours per GB of Hard Drive space) If you are going to be adding lots of images then these will increase the file size.
  • Audio Notetaker does not need any other applications to run. However if you want to use the Scribe feature in our Windows version you will need Dragon installed. And if you want to import PowerPoint files or KeyNote files you will also need those installed.
  • Our Windows version integrates with Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Version 11onwards and either their Premium or Professional editions).
  • PDF supported by default. With PowerPoint (2002 or later) installed you can import PowerPoint files
  • Audio connections: Input Inbuilt microphones on mobile devices give good results; especially where you can sit close to the person speaking (this is always the best way to improve the quality of a recording). If you do need to use an external microphone then the apps support any microphone recognised as such by the device. You can use the traditional 3.5mm jack or a USB device. You will need a suitable connector for USB devices. Mobile devices will have a TRRS type 3.5mm connector; you will need to ensure that your microphone has the same (or use a dongle). The Andrea SG110M has a TRRS connector.
