Dolphin
INTRODUCING THE HUB
Have a question?
When you attempt to write text in the Edge address bar, it is not possible to input characters.
This is a known issue which Dolphin is investigating. As a temporary workaround, press the following hotkey before and after you have entered text into the address bar:
LEFT CTRL + 4
This hotkey will toggle the automatic Dolphin cursor on and off. When it is off, you will be able to type into the address field.
Magnified text in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other Office apps does not appear as smooth as in other applications.
Dolphin is currently investigating an issue whereby our True Font technology is unable to render fonts in Microsoft Office as well as it can in some other apps. Because of this, SuperNova reverts back to the older "Standard” font smoothing technology.
At the present time there is no workaround or solution for this problem. We will update this article once we have further information.
Standard windows 10 touchscreen gestures do not appear to work when Supernova is running but with the magnification turned off.
This is a known limitation at this time. The current workaround if you wish to run SuperNova with the magnification turned off, would be to set the magnification level to the lowest available setting.
When using SuperNova with more than one screen, the options for configuring how SuperNova works with multiple monitors is not available.
This will occur if you have set Window display settings to “Clone” or “Duplicate” the displays.
In order to benefit from SuperNova’s multiple monitor options, please extend your desktop in Windows. To do this:
Press WINDOWS KEY + P to open the Windows Display Settings.
Choose “Extend”.
The options will now be available
The above message is displayed after launching SuperNova. When choosing “OK2, SuperNova closes.
This message will only occur when SuperNova tries to launch twice at the same time. For example, if SuperNova is set to load automatically when Windows starts, then you attempt to launch SuperNova manually (e.g. by clicking the Desktop shortcut), this message will appear.
If you do not believe SuperNova is set to load automaticvally, do the following:
Open the SuperNova Control Panel.
Open the “General” menu.
Choose “Start-up Preferences”.
Check if “Launch SuperNova after logon” is selected.
When you attempt to navigate a web page using Google Chrome, the speech announces only your key presses and does not speak any text on the web page. You may also hear the speech announce “Chrome Legacy Window”.
If this problem occurs, please contact Dolphin Support on support@yourdolphin.com. It may be the case that a remote control session with TeamViewer is required.
There are a number of things which could cause a lack of voice in SuperNova.
Check Windows audio is functioning
The first thing to check is whether or not it is just SuperNova that is silent, or if in fact all Windows sounds have gone. If you are using an external headset or speakers, ensure they are connected and turned on if applicable. Ensure that the Windows volume is set sufficiently high and that it is not muted. Now play some audio, for example a YouTube video in a web browser. If there is no sound from the video, then you can be sure the issue is a general system issue and not specific to SuperNova.
Check voice is turned on.
Assuming Windows sounds are working as expected, the next thing to do is make sure SuperNova’s voice is turned on. To do this:
Open the SuperNova Control Panel.
Open the “Speech” menu.
Ensure that the first item is set to “Voice ON” and not “Voice OFF”.
Check SuperNova speech volume
Next make sure that SuperNova’s own volume is sufficiently high. To do this:
Open the SuperNova Control Panel.
Open the “Speech” menu.
Choose “Voice Preferences”.
On the “General” page, make sure the volume is set high enough, increase the volume as high it will go until you can hear the voice.
Choose "OK".
Make sure the correct TTS is in use.
You may wish to check that the correct Text-to-Speech synthesizer is in use. To do this:
Open the SuperNova Control Panel.
Open the “Speech” menu.
Choose “Voice Preferences”.
Choose the “Synthesizer Configuration” page.
Choose the “Select Synthesizer” button.
From the list of available TTS engines, choose the one you wish to use. Mos users opt for the default “Vocalizer Expressive” item.
Choose “OK”.
Whilst SuperNova is running, at some point during use it stops working and crashes. The next time you start SuperNova it asks you what you were doing when it crashed.

C:\UsersaPublic\Public Documents/p>
The files will begin with the name "crash)" and some will have the file extension ".log" and some will have the file extension".dmp".
