If you purchased MindView Suite, you will not need a license key to activate the software.
MindView 8 will get activated as soon as you log in using the credentials you used to sign up to MindView Suite.
To sign up to MindView Suite please use the activation link provided in the Welcome Email. Once you are signed up you should be able to access https://accounts.matchware.com, where you will be able to manage your account and also download MindView 8.

The license key is located in the documents (e-mail, product packaging, etc.) that you received when you purchased.
If you have a version with this key installed, you can also do the following:
Go to the directory where you installed the software (for example, C: \ Program Files (x86) \ MatchWare \ MindView 7.0) and look for a file called sn.ini. Open it with a suitable program (for example notepad.exe = editor) and you will see something like this:
[Activation] mwas=C:\ProgramData\mwas\MindView 7.0.mwas ActivateNow=0 Forced=0 [Serial] Serial=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX “Serial” = license key, so use this string to activate.
If you are notified that it has already been activated too many times, please send an email to ensupport@matchware.com (stating the license key!).

You are seeing this message because you have used all the activations on your Licence Key.
Please send an email to ensupport@matchware.com stating your Licence Key and we can resolve the issue for you.

Unfortunately, the license is not transferable between the Mac and the PC version. If you change to a Mac, you will need to purchase a separate license for the Mac Version of the software.

When the software asks you for a serial number, you will see a button labelled “Demo” in the corner of the activation dialogue box.
Click this button and this will start your trial of the software.

This issue is caused by the activation file not being written to the hard drive correctly, due to inadequate permissions in the user’s account.
To correct this run the application once as administrator and perform activation.
Step 1: The application can be run as administrator in one of two ways. Either:
Click the Start Menu and enter the application name (eg. MindView) in the search bar. Once the Application is shown in the list, press “ctrl” + “shift” + “enter”. The application will be run as Administrator.
or
Right-click the application’s main EXE file (found in the “Program Files > MatchWare > MindView directory) and choose “run as administrator”.
Step 2: Activate the software like normal.
After activating as an administrative user the activation information is written and you will not be asked to activate on each run of the application.
